A dirty mash-up of psych, rock and roll, a bit roots, some folk rock elements with a touch of Essex marshland blues

We live in a small fishing village in North East Essex.
We've toured, played festivals and  shared stages  with  Eddie & The Hot Rods, Martin Newell, The Jar Family, The Mentulls, Ben Brown aka Dingus Khan, Snakes and many more.  We've  had radio play internationally and ongoing  support and airplay from BBC Essex, BBC Intro, BBC Suffolk.  We  secured a publishing deal for our debut album in the Woods, and  released a follow up album In Search Of a New Land .
Recently we've released a 4trk live EP  and have just released a single Weekend Anarchist, at the beginning of Nov 2023.
We are currently  recording our third album

FIONA HARMON - VOX & GUITAR
OPHELIA MILLS - VIOLIN
PHIL PAIN -  KEYS
ROBERTO WONDER - GUITAR
TOM EDWARDS - DRUMS
OZ - BASS

The Wicked Ravens have created something that sounds genuine, a strong piece that goes between rock dipping its toes into psychedelia at times and with a few folk influences thrown in the mix, their songwriting seems to get stronger with each record - Paperchampion music mag

The Wicked Ravens have a sound all their own, albeit one that would fit right into the music scene of the late 1960’s – 1970’s and be among the best.  Influenced by the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin et al, They flood the senses with alt rock combined with gutsy, raw blues, superbly finished off with singer Fiona, who possesses the rootsy versatility of Janis Joplin - Angry Baby music mag

Stick your headphones on, shut your eyes and be seduced by the music as it drives you through the night to an underground club in the late 60's, where you settle back and enjoy the band and the de rigueur psychedelic light show, alt folk-rock cloaked in a kaftan. -  Fatea music mag

It has the aura of an authentic and obscure LP by one of those lost bands of the 1970s I’ve played this album a lot, and I’m still trying to place all its resonances more definitively - I love it.  - Folk & Roots mag

If you like throw away pop and auto tuned drivel, you probably wont like us - The Wicked Ravens

Authentic & Obscure - Folk and Roots Mag

What a fantastic band - John Peel Centre for Creative Arts
